Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Konvyo is an iOS app for organizing real-time car convoys, scenic drives, group road trips and automotive events. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it, both in the free version and with a Konvyo Pass subscription. For privacy requests, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We may collect account details, contact information, support messages, device and app usage data, convoy session details, routes, waypoints, live location while you take part in an active convoy, photos you upload to the shared album of a session, hazard reports, route ratings and the status of your Konvyo Pass subscription.

3. Location and live sharing

Live location is shared only with participants of the active convoy session. While a convoy is running, Konvyo can use your location in the background so the group keeps seeing where you are, and can show it on a connected CarPlay display. When the convoy ends, live sharing stops. Konvyo is not designed as a public location-tracking social network.

4. Shared album and session photos

Photos uploaded to the shared album of a session are visible to the participants of that session, who can view and save them. Do not upload images of other people without their consent, and remember that photos can carry metadata such as the place and time they were taken. You can delete photos you uploaded, and we can remove content that breaks our terms.

5. Public routes, ratings and hazard reports

Routes you publish, ratings, road-surface votes and hazard reports are shared with the Konvyo community together with the profile name shown in the app. Hazard reports are submitted by users, are not verified by us and may be aggregated or anonymized to improve the service.

6. Konvyo Pass and purchases

Konvyo Pass is sold through the Apple App Store. Payments are processed by Apple: we never receive your card or payment method details. We only receive the information needed to unlock the features linked to your subscription, such as its status, plan and renewal date.

7. How we use information

We use information to provide convoy features, show group location, support multi-stop routes, run the shared album and Replay, deliver Konvyo Pass features, improve reliability, keep accounts secure, moderate public content, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

8. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. Konvyo relies on two main providers: Google Firebase, used for authentication, database, file storage, crash reporting and analytics, and Apple MapKit, which provides maps, routes and navigation. Data processed through these services is also handled under their own privacy terms. We may share limited data with other participants when a feature requires it, when required by law, or with your consent.

9. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy: session data, Replay and shared albums are kept while the session is present in your history and are deleted when you delete the session or your account. Replay for older sessions may not stay available without an active Konvyo Pass. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

10. Your rights, export and deletion

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. With Konvyo Pass you can export the routes you drove in GPX format, and you can ask us at any time to delete your account and the data linked to it by writing to [email protected].

11. Children

Konvyo is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a minor has used the app without consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time, for example when we add features or change how an existing feature works. We will publish the latest version on this page with a new update date.
